I was just doing the bug catching area contest and with 1 minute left i went for a pokemon that swiped my whole team with probably less than 20 seconds left,. Once i went back to the area to get my pokemon judged, he tells me to go try out the contest while the police npc tells me to wait 8 hours to try again. I still have all my pokemon that ive caught from the contest

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I would like to inform you that it is intended to not be able to continue the bug catching contest and submit your Pokémon if you have fainted while in battle.

This because if all of your pokemon faint, and therefore you blackout, you get sent to your last visited Pokécenter to heal.

Regarding the Contest Judge into the stop-house instead, its role is not the one to evaluate your Pokémon and reward you like the one into the bug catching contest hall. That is just an NPC developed for all the players that meet the requirements to catch Genesect and that, once you talk to him and he notice you meet the requirements, send you to Genesect.
