I am trying to get a Gengar by evolving my Haunter with a trade.

Problem is, after the trade my Haunter doesn’t want to evolve... There is no “Evolving window” for the player with whom I traded and still no window when he traded it back to me. I tried with 2 different players but it still won’t evolve..

Is it a bug ? And if so, can you help me ?

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

 

Could you please try to let the Haunter faint and then try it again?

So first let it faint in a battle and afterwards try trading it again with a user.

So like you asked I tried again after my Haunter fainted and he still didn’t evolve..
