Hi WanganComet, I apologise for the difficulty you are having. Pro doesn't need an app to open it, at least that is the case on the different Android devices that I've downloaded it on.

The guide can be a bit difficult to understand especially for those who do not understand English so well. There is a simple way to install it as shown in the video below, it is an old video but still works as I still use that process to download pro onto my phone (huawei honor 9) and onto previous phones a Samsung Galaxy A3 and S5. The only difference is that you go to https://pokemonrevolution.net/download and select the android download under other platforms.

 

 

If after trying what is shown in the above thread and video you are still having trouble downloading pro onto your android device please let me know here and I will continue trying to help you.
