I have been experiencing an issue lately when entering a battle with wild pokemon.

 

When I try catch the pokemon the battle popup sometimes freezes and doesn't continue the command (eg. When I try catch the pokemon using a pokeball). I know it's not signal because the game play in the background continues like people still walking around and I can still chat to other players. It is only the battle popup that freezes.

 

This doesn't happen all the time but it has happened quite a few times now especially when I've encountered rare pokemon. Please refer to the screenshots attached. I was trying to catch eevee and I had already used roughly +-25 pokeballs and ultra balls when the battle popup froze. You can also see me asking other players for suggestions and if this issue has happened to them before.

 

 

Please can you help me resolve this so it doesn't continue to be an issue in future as it is quite frustrating when you search for a while and finally encounter a rare pokemon only for the battle popup to freeze, not to mention the lost pokeballs/ultra balls lost in the process.

Seems like a really odd bug, what did you try to resolve it?

I suggest you to delete all the PRO folders and download it again from here.

Let me know if it worked or not.

Thank you for the response and suggestion, it is greatly appreciated it.

 

It is very strange as it has only been the battle popup that has been affected, no other feature of the game is affected. I have to log out and reblog in. Then once I've logged in again, I spawn to the last poke center I visited.

 

It has caused a bit of frustration as I have missed a few opportunities to catch rare pokemon and obviously lost quite a few pokeballs as a result of it.

 

Kindly note that I have downloaded the latest version of the game, which I reinstalled recently as I have only started playing again recently. I am playing the mobile version of the game if that helps with a resolution?

@Contrary it has happened again but this time alot of my items in my bag disappeared then a popup came up saying "you can't trade legendary pokemon" and then a trade window opened while I was in battle with riolu.

 

Again the battle popup froze and again you can see the conversation in the chats still continuing.

 

Please can someone help me with this?
