Pokemon Switching in Battle

Are there plans to implement the ability to swtich out your pokemon after you defeat a trainer's pokemon and they are about to send out a new pokemon. The fac that this isnt in the game is my only real problem with how it plays, the increased difficulty is nice but made unfairly hard sometimes against trainers when you cant tactically switch out pokemon without them taking a free hit.
