So, I'm just a beginner to playing PRO, and I encountered something quite annoying, that also is a bit bs.

When I was fighting Brock, I lost the first time, but got exp for one of my pokemon, but then I went back and beat him, but I didn't get any exp at all. I didn't even get any money when I beat him. All I got was the boulder badge, but that I don't care about, since the exp was more important for me at the moment.

 

Please tell me this was just a bug.

No, if you loose the first time you won't get any xp or money. you will have to make sure you're well level'd against gym leaders. It's made this way, so people can't abuse the xp gain.
