I heard somewhere that if you are not satisfied with a caught legendary (trash iv's/nature), you can just release it and battle Nikola Boss so you basically get a free reroll. I have a few questions about this. - is this method frowned upon by PRO? - can this be done with legends that were caught a long time ago? - can this be done with event exclusive legends? - does Nikola also have a 12 day cooldown or can i just re-catch one legend after another if i use this method? M3ru3m Posted February 20, 2020 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Hello Wizzy22, As it says in the PRO Wiki about Nikola: Nikola now allows you to re-summon each legendary you've released once. Bear in mind that neither he nor Community Coordinators will restore your legendary if you release it, intending to utilize the recapture as a reroll. He will only restore the legendary this way once, whether or not you manage to capture it. It is highly recommended that you do not utilize this as a reroll - this is intended for players who accidentally release their legendaries. - is this method frowned upon by PRO? It is not intended to be used that way. But if you are willing to take the risk there will be no consequenses from our side. - can this be done with legends that were caught a long time ago? It can be done on any Legendary ONE Time. However if there is a DC during the fight or you happen to lose, nothing can bring back your Legendary. - can this be done with event exclusive legends? If the Legenary is obtainable in the game at the moment Nikola can bring it back (ONE TIME). If the Poke can't be obtained at the moment (for example: Darkrai, Shaymin...) Nikola can't bring it back because he just reinstates the Legendary Pokémon's battleability or the quest lead-ups needed for it, thereby accessibilizing to you another chance of hunting for them. - does Nikola also have a 12 day cooldown or can i just re-catch one legend after another if i use this method? The Cooldown for Nikola is 21 Days.
