From reading many forum threads and what not, staff do not really do resets on quests. As this would be unfair for other players who have not reported the issue.

 

 

Fortunately for your friend, there will be a way to respawn Manaphy. If your friend challenges and defeats Boss Nikola, the Boss will be able to restore the Manaphy for them in the place where Manaphy can be caught after completing its Quest.
