Hi guys!

I just started playing here (this is also my first thread)i was wondering if this onix was any great, could you help me?

Oh, and if it is good, should i start training his evs now or when i complete the story? (i still have to defeat the 2nd gym)

Hi there, first of all, welcome to the Forums then :P

Second of all, that is a decent Onix, nice IV.

Onix is mainly run Impish or Relaxed as a physical wall. Careful is more based on Spdef, which is not the highest trait of Onix, or Steelix, if you decide to evolve it.

However with that said, I will link you a Careful build for it.

From my experience, I would say, that you should focus on the story, before dealing with stuff like competitive use. Most, if not any pokemon can be used story, so you shouldn't focus too much on that.

I would however keep that onix for later, because it holds potential.
