Oh, and if it is good, should i start training his evs now or when i complete the story? Onix is mainly run Impish or Relaxed as a physical wall. Careful is more based on Spdef, which is not the highest trait of Onix, or Steelix, if you decide to evolve it. However with that said, I will link you a Careful build for it. https://imgur.com/suJBRR4 From my experience, I would say, that you should focus on the story, before dealing with stuff like competitive use. Most, if not any pokemon can be used story, so you shouldn't focus too much on that. I would however keep that onix for later, because it holds potential.
