Welcome to the game first of all, hope you enjoy it so far.

 

Once you have obtained Celadon City's Rainbow Badge (4th Kanto badge), you'll be able to trade in any Pokemon Center.

You can initiate a trade with someone by right-clicking their character and selecting the trade option, moreover, you can use the command /trade username.
