It won't be implemented, Deathwing once said something like "it's already time consuming to moderate players name, we can't moderate pokemons' names too"

 

And if you mean account rename, it won't be possible either, one will have to create a new account ^^

 

But yes, there will be new stuff eventually, just like they added the egg moves tutor .. a month ago already? And it's just the first example that came in my mind ^^
