I have tried restarting the game and my computer but I sill can't play.

 

Description and Message

I log in and it says connecting to server, then it will say logging in then nothing happens. I waited 10 minutes and still nothing. I have never played before so I don't know if that is supposed to happen. Please help.

better try to find another game dude, this one is full all day, and is unable to connect or play, even if you are lucky and get the queue list, it will take forever until you cant enter, and if you do, for any reason you may crash, and you will have to wait again in queue list

Sometime nothing happens, u need to restart the client. Sometime u have the Login Queue and u need wait, sometime you are directly in game x)

I can relate. Keep trying to get in and have to restart a bunch of time to even get in que and then i wait 30 min or so to get in and i eventually crash. Not sure how anyone has been able to train lvl 100s already...if so, what are they doing to get so much game time. is there a certain amount of time before people who are afk get kicked?

Yes

Due to high traffic times where hundreds of users are constantly trying to connect despite the maximum capacity being reached, these issues can be observed where the queue doesn't even show up for players. Best option is to restart your client and repeat untill the queue is visible. Aside from that, there is nothing much that can be done at the moment.

i understand, but my question was is there anything in place that kicks afk players? are many people going afk preventing me from playing? if so, will there be an update for that soon? Im sorry, i just love pokemon.

Yes, there is an afk-kicking system.

I have the same problem. I hope they increase the server capacity because it takes forever to queue.
