So, i've lost to the trainer right before Brock. I want to know if should i defeat Brock this guy will never fight me again like in the nintendo games? Or is it possible for me to defeat Brock and come back later to rematch this trainer in the GYM?

Yes you can rematch with trainer in gym, except Gym Leader
