I was doing the quest of the lake trio and I saw that an item called with the same name was needed, I asked some friends and they told me that those items should not have them and I would like to ask if it is a bug that has them or is it okay

Sorry for the inconvenience as well as the delay.

 

This is not a bug and is indeed intended. Both types of Dread Plates, while sharing the same name, have different uses. The Dread Plate you need for the Lake Trio will be obtainable at the Old Chateau, and it has to be the one there.

Just out of curiosity, if this Dread Plate gets destroyed are we unable to continue on with the quest?
