It'd sure be nice if we had the battle animations like Pokemon Showdown. Makes the experience feel more real.

Of course, I have nothing against the 2D style we currently have, but as this game progresses, it is possible to achieve that?

This won't be implemented because of the Low level devices they want to support.

From 2015: I'm still here

It's as riccatt says, in addition, this ISN'T Pokemon Showdown, this is Pokemon Revolution Online, and Pokemon Showdown is purely battles, no story or such like.

I must say it is a real let down for their fans, knowing that we will stick with the 2D 4ever :/ this is prob the only thing i less enjoy in the game... but well, its still an amazing pokemon game

I would like to know if a battle preview (such as the one in your screenshot) will ever be implemented for pvp. Personally I think it makes lead match ups less luck based and allows players to make more accurate predictions.
