Volcanion Quest: Red Stone didn't appear in inventory

I defeated Mole Marc while doing the Volcanion quest, and after I beat him he was talking to me (hadn't given me the red stone yet) and I got a phone call and looked away from the game and i got kicked for being afk. When I logged back in I was no longer speaking to Mole Marc and he would just say "have fun on your adventure!" or something when I would talk to him and the red stone still wasn't in my inventory. I gathered the other two items and Dr. Reinfield won't let me progress the story because I don't have the red stone. What do I do? I can't rebattle Mole Marc. Please help.

Apologies for the inconvenience 

 

The red stone is obtainable during the next step that is only unlocked after beating Mole Marc; he isn't the one that gives it directly to you. To proceed you want to head south passing by the NPC named Jim, continuing further until you reach Guard Guilbert. You can use this picture as a reference :

Speak with Guilbert to enter the cave and continue until you see the pink pokeball. Interact with it and you'll obtain the red stone. If you are ever find yourself lost again in the quest you can use the guide in the legendary megathread
