So, I have just beat brock, however I received 0 pokecoins and no exp gain for my pokemon. is this supposed to be the case?

If it isn't your first attempt you dont get rewards I think

As mentioned before, if you lost or disconnected while fighting a gym leader, the next time you fight them you will not receive any rewards. Sorry for the inconvenience 😞
