i put in my username and password and then press join and then it says connecting to server, then logging in and then logging in disappears and nothing happens

First, make sure that you're using the most up-to-date client. https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4563

 

If you have the correct client, just be patient. You're entered into a "ghost queue".

 

After a while, you will be logged into the game. If after 10-15 minutes a queue hasn't appeared and you still haven't made it into the game, then I'd recommend closing the client completely and trying again.
