Sticky Hold Changelog

Featured Replies

Hello,
Today (June 8th) I saw in an announcement on Discord that Sticky Hold mons would no longer take extra damage from Knock Off (or Knock Off would no longer be boosted, however you prefer to word it.) However, as of Gen 6, Knock Off is supposed to have its damage increased against Pokemon with the ability Sticky Hold, even if it doesn't Knock Off the item. I know it feels like a counter intuitive interaction, but that is how it is coded in the original games.

I could have read the changelog incorrectly, but just wanted to make sure that something that was already interacting correctly wasn't changed accidentally on purpose.
Also wasn't sure where to put this as it isn't a bug perse, but this subforum felt the most appropriate.

Hello @sharqlord,

Thank you for bringing this topic to our attention. You are correct in that Knock Off's power is always boosted against a Sticky Hold Pokemon with an item. I believe there may have been some confusion regarding the change log, but the mechanic in game will be working as intended, following this patch. If there are any other issues that you would like to bring to our attention, please feel free to make another thread. Thank you again, and have a good day.
