You must try interacting with some of the levers in the forest in order to reach the forest master again. Here's a list of the interactable levers : Tombstone Tree stump with an axe Dead tree Cherry bush Skull Bush with mushrooms Pile of leaves Pumpkin Hopefully that helps resolves your issue, let me know if anything is unclear.
