Stuck in Baby Lugia quest

I made an irriversible mistake in the 2nd part of the Baby Lugia quest, I've shown Lingot a freshly caught Chespin but then I thought about switching to one with a better nature.
I assumed it would let me change it if I showed a new one so I released the original one (should have checked first, my bad there) , and I don't have the ID, without that Chespin I can't continue the quest as I keep getting the dialogue in the picture.
Is it possible to restore that Chespin or reset that part of the quest on my account so that I can do it with a new Chespin, I don't mind if it's the entire quest, I can do part 1 again if it's necessary. My IGN is TheSim91 and the account is on silver. Thank you in advance.

Can you try talk to Lingot now? He should allow you to replace your Chespin now.
