Heiach's Suggestions

There are a lot of little things hear and there that are either really great or a little inconvenient, but the biggest gripe I have:

Grinding. I understand that this is an MMO based on Pokemon and therefore it'll probably have a little more grinding but this is testing evening *my* patience. You pretty much *have* to either level up your team to the 90s or you can forego lots of leveling but EV train them all.. either way that's a lot of grinding.

You basically *have* to EV train in Kanto to beat the Elite 4 but you don't have access to a lot of things (such as the macho brace) that make said training a lot easier until Johto.

My suggestion:

Would be to make Kanto Elite 4 easier so as to be able to beat them without any/much EV training, but you'd still need to have fairly high levels.. like 65-75 (which is still more than in a normal Pokemon game) but then keep the Johto Elite 4 as hard as they currently are.. so you still *have* to do a lot of EV training in the 2nd part of the game etc.. but it'll be easier at this point.

My reasoning for this is that the Kanto E4 are such a massive bottle-neck.. literally everyone get stuck there because of the sheer amount of grinding required to beat them... it would help the flow of the game if it ramped up a little slower.. I'd imagine we've lost a lot of people who got to the Kanto E4 and just gave up.

I feel like this based a lot on your team. I had a team of 6 level 80's without any Ev training, all random ivs or nature. And i beat the E4 first try through strategy and planning. Nothing more. And the E4 is meant to be the pinnacle of the pre-game. The strongest trainers in the region took time to get there, and you should too.

elite 4 is a piece of cake compared to sabrina.... just grind till 80´s and you pass it easy with some revives/potions

I totally agree with Einstein here. I pretty much solo'd the first 4 E4 guys with my jynx eventho i trained all my pokemon to 85-90. All had random ev's and iv's and it still was a walk in the park.

I beated kanto e4 with a team of 6 pokemon at level 75 with no ev training and random ivs and natures. Honestly, all you need to do is to play smart looking to weaknesses and strength of the pokemon you fece. Nothing difficult.

From 2015: I'm still here

It's really not that hard, you just need to use the right pokes. I beat both johto and kanto using only a gengar and a gyarados around level 80s without ev trained. The rest of my team were low level pokes for backup in case I need to revive or heal my main pokes. For anyone that plays competetively, E4 is a piece of cake, but it seems like most people here don't. Trust me, you'll realize how easy it is when you learn more and start playing competetively.

Personally I want a challenge, I don't want to beat this fast, I wish to enjoy it for quite awhile.

Beat kanto e4 with an ambipom and roserade

Heiach, if you're stuck in the Kanto E4 and really just want to beat them and move on, you can always ask a friend to lend you a level 100 Pokemon. Something strong and with moves that give you type advantages. Still, I suggest you just keep training and beat the E4 on your own. Makes the victory all the more satisfying.

I lost to e4 3x in a row before succeeding, i always lose to mega gengar but it didn't make me gave up, it just makes me want to beat the crap of it more.
