Can you please clearly explain that what pokemon you want to evolve and what its level range?

Trade evolution can be done by trading pokemons at any level.

 

Mysterious candy works only in a case where your pokemon need level up to evolve and your pokemon is at max level.

Since, trade evolution does not require level up's, so mysterious candy doesn't works on these pokemons.

@Frylock i am trying to evolve my katabra which is evolve by treading now. But before tread evolve my katabra which level is 100 i am trying to evolve it by mysterious candy but it not working that's why i am ask this question.

For that you just need to trade your kadabra no need to add mysterious candy on it. Till will evolve once you trade it.

make sure the other person dosent have more than 5 poke in party
