If you have an item on your hot bar and drag it onto the chat bar and possibly other areas the game keeps a null item on your bar that cannot be replaced with any other item that just looks like a blank square. The issue is probably a result of an error in the drag/drop action that causes the item to error out and leaving a null object, or an object that isnt any longer properly defined, in it's place with no icon, text, or image. It looks empty but it is not as nothing will go in the slot again. What have you already tried to solve the problem? Restarting Resyncing Dragging on new item Waiting till server restart Description and Message Everything is stated in the other fields. Nothing more should be needed to reproduce or track down the offending code.
