While Super Rod isn't in the game, is possible to fish dratini using another rod?

I don't know much about dratini at this point But i have heard you can find him in safari zone and the dragons den. I haven't been to either yet but I have seen people showing dratini off. As for the fishing i am not sure.

I'd like to know this aswell, been fishing for ~3-4hrs without luck with Good Rod in Safari Zone

I will be scripting in super rod shortly, so this will essentially become a non-issue. however i do believe that dratini is super rod only

You can get good rod at Fuchsia City. Search a home -> \/ from C.P.
