Cant find deep sea scale/tooth in my inventory

So i did the quest in abandoned ship, went to the room with deep sea scale/tooth. It said it is a mossy ball. but when i wantet to see it in inventory, it wasnt there. Is this a bug or it is supposed to be somewhere else or what ?

Hello @Coki002,

 

Did you talk to Stern in Slateport already? You can find him in the Museum and he should turn your Mossy Ball into either Deep Sea Scale or Tooth.

Alternatively you can get both from smashing Crystals on Love Island or find them on Route 135.
