Have you looked at the FAQ to solve your issue?: No

On which server issue happened: RED

What have you done before the problem was there?

I evolved my Murkrow.

What have you already tried to solve the problem?

I looked at bulbapedia and asked help chat.

Description and Message

I was training a Murkrow and evolved it into to honchkrow. I was planning on teaching it sucker punch at the move relearner as according to bulbapedia it learns the move at level 1, and I had no way of seeing honchkrow so I couldnt see the moves it learned on the pokedex. However, for no apparent reason, honchkrow is unable to learn sucker punch. Is there another way to get this move in Kanto before the elite four?

Otherwise can the issue of it not learning sucker punch be resolved? It is unfair that a descrepency like this exists as I have no way of fixing the problem.

For your question, I afraid honchkrow won't be able to learn that move if it's not on move relearner's list. Cuz there are no other way to learn sucker punch ingame yet.

I also wonder if the game is using the move system of alpha omega/saphire or XY or other unknown move sys.. my seedot doesn't seem to learn explosion at lvl 33.. I wonder if Nuleaf could learn leaf blade or not.

Weavile and Mamoswine also can't learn icicle crash via eggmoves..

Not all of the Pokemon have been updated to Gen 6 movesets. Currently they're a mix of Gen 6, Gen 5 (B/W1), and even a few are Gen 4 (I believe). Updating their movesets is tedious work, but Shane will get to it eventually.
