Hey guys, I have a suggestion for easier linking. This would make it possible to link pokemon in chat, as well as items. I'm sure there has been a suggestion for this in the past. But it would help the trade community.

Well, in other MMOs, it is possible to link an item, or 'monster' (in our case-Pokemon), in chat by the simple command of:

Example. Let's say I have a Squirtle in pokemon slot one. A simple <Shift> + Left click action performed while hover over said pokemon, will link it in the chat (without the requirement of having to press enter). same with items in backpack. berries. misc. mounts. etc.

This would make linking pokemon easy- in any channel, so the person would not have to manually drag the pokemon onto the chat box. And this would be able to be done on items as well ; E.g. <Silk Scarf> / <King's Rock> / <Sun Stone> / <Leftovers> / etc.. linking items like these would make them easier to sell.

Anyway, just a simple suggestion from an experienced online gamer. :y: :thanks:

Items are all the same, while pokemon have different natures and ivs, so it's useful to link pokemon but not items.

Btw I'd like to be able to link pokemon in private chat.

Yes, but the fact of the item being 'Highlighted' as so, will make the item easier to spot in trade chat. etc. It doesn't matter if they're all the same. Its the Idea of the item being highlighted to be spotted in chat easily. And yes, I agree completely, should be able to link pokemon in PMs, would save other chats from being flooded with random pokemon with nothing being said about them.

If everything is highlited, nothing is highlited.

That isn't true. items and pokemon are highlighted. Not simple text words.

example: Let's say I'm in trade, and I have a Macho Brace and an Eevee I'd like to sell.

'Wts <Macho Brace> 20k <Eevee> 10k." making only the item and pokemon highlighted. Making it easier for the trade chat to see what the person is selling.

if one were to say -

"wts macho brace 20k <Eevee> 10k." it is more than likely the people viewing the chat will spot the "eevee" first and disregard the macho brace also being sold.

There are also often times where I'm trying to buy items such as <King's Rock> and I'm unable to view such item in trade chat because of how fast it goes. Highlighting it would make it much easier to spot.

I completely agree with you =) this would be great and much easier to sell. Dont care about Riccatt opinion, he disagree with everything he sees on forum rly ^^

Usually if anyone scams it is reported and will probably receive punishment anyways. Just with the commands its ok, no need to add item highlights wouldn't be bad to, but there is actually no need for it. I support this idea all the same :)
