Catching Dratini, need help !

Hello !

So, I need help to catch a Dratini ( for the free arcanine mount quest ) but after a lot of research I haven't found one, so here's my question :

What do you need to catch it ?

I'm a non member player and I haven't completed kanto elite four, someone's told me that you can only catch it using a super rod ( $ 75k in johto ).

Acording do the map and pokedex Dratini is catchable in safari entrance ( fishing ) safari area 2 ( fishing ), safari membership area ( can't go there of course ) and dragon's den ( johto ). Can I catch it by surfind in the two safari area ( entrance and 2th ) ? Or do I have to wait untill I find the rod or the dragon's den ?

 

The quest guy asks for a Kangaskhan, a Chansey and a Dratini, the first two of them are catchable in safari area as soon as you got the quest but it's weird that you can only catch dratini after going to johto or by being a member, knowing that a member could have bought a mount instead of doing this quest.

I'll need and answer as fast as possible because i've been using a looooooooot of money in the safari park :Cry:

You will need the Super Rod to catch Dratini in the Safari; so don't waste any more money.

Non-member and have not super rod is impossible to catch Dratini. I will recommend you finish the story process first (Kanto and Johto E4). And then you will begin to do mount quest. It will save a lot of time for you! As Dratini also can find in Dragon Den (no fee for entrant), good luck with your jouney.
