Sharpedonite Quest/Hoenn Festival

I'm [heck]*d, so this post might sound salty, but I have my reasons.

 

I've attempted to get Sharpedonite 6 or 7 times so far. I went with the comp recommended in one of the forums guides (Rampados Mold Breaker, Brick Break, Rock Smash, Camerupt with Magma Armor), and I failed it innitially. I thought "well, but I have Excadrill, that has same base atk, and proper abi, skillset". Similar to Chandelure, I've used. I got mixed results - sometimes I was first, sometimes even last, it was pure rng fiesta for 4-5 attempts. So for my last one (the one I just did) I was like "u know what, if Camerupt Magma Armor guarantees first spot, I'll take exca as a backup plan for 3rd trial". So that was my setup:

1. Camerupt Magma Armor

2. Excadril Mold Breaker, Brick Break, Rock Smash

3. Magnezone Scarfed

 

First trial was really promising, I got 7 points from that (3rd place I think?), so I was like "it's easy now". So I went to 2nd trial with my great Camerupt, king of lava pond, I sustained 110 seconds in lava and I finished last. After the 2nd trial I was still on 7 points. So I jumped into 3rd trial and I finished it first, not one shotting only 1 pokemon, which gave me 3rd place in total.

What. The. Hell. is wrong with that quest? Is it bugged? Am I doing something wrong?

What I understand is:

• First trial is about base atk stat of the pokemon, also u are supposed to get bonus points, if you have mold breaker, brick break and rock smash. From my experience I can tell that it is really inconsistent, coz it look like I'm getting no bonuses from having those. Each attempt places me randomly 1-5, no matter if I use Rampados or Excadrill (both 115 base atk)
• Second trial is about having pokemon resistant to fire, in theory it should be Magma Armor or Flash Fire abi, since both of those gives u resistance to fire moves. Both Magma Armor Camerupt and Flash Fire Chandelure gives me mixed outcome with 1-5 place.
• Third trial is all about time, you are supposed to have a poke that one shots every encounter, you can fail doing that once or twice, but any more of those puts u in the risk of failing the race. I managed to finish 1st twice (magnezone scarfed) and 3rd once (breloom focus sash).

 

@Norex ensured me on the discord, that this thing was recently tested and feedback says that everything works perfectly fine. So if that's the case, could someone, I beg, explain me what are exact requirements to finish this abysmal quest? Is it acctually like, there is 1 pokemon in the game that can finish 1st and 2nd trial consistently? And If so, can I have any proof? (sorry for doubting, but after giving Rampa and Camerupt a try, im suspicious). Can you mix Camerupt/Rampa with something else?

I'm losing my mind repeating this quest, it's not fun, and It's nowhere specified (I'm looking at u wiki), any help will be very welcomed.

Another attempt

Setup:

Magnezone

Excadrill

Camerupt

1st trial 10,5 points

2nd trial +7.5 = 18 points

3rd trial i won, which made me win the whole thing.

 

But the question about first 2 trials remains the same:

What are the requirements?
