People keep saying epic epic epic, but I have no idea how you can see it

History is written by the victor.

There is no fixed value, when someone calls a pokemon epic. You can see "epic" as a way to describe a very good pokemon.

The value of a pokemond depends on its IVs, Nature, and in some cases Ability.

A Pokemon with the desired nature, high IVs in the desired stats and possibly the right ability would therefore be considered epic.

If you want to look at why certain pokemon is epic, i recommend you look at Smogon. It's a very useful resource to what pokemon require including natures abilities and ideal ivs. So if the pokemon matches the requirements, generally speaking of what is on Smogon it should be considered epic.
