You can queue in Normal Ranked PvP with six level 100 pokemon in your party whilst in the pokecenter. Upon finding a match, you can either order your pokemon in the party accordingly to choose a lead or click the pokemon icon in the attached image then click Ready and when your opponent does so as well you enter the battle. Remember to click and open the sidebar to see the pokemon that your opponent's team has. On the pokemon icons there you can click and an instant overview on the pokemon will appear in the pokedex where you can check its base stats and ability mostly what is needed to know for the battle and the rest you play on your own.

 <---Click "Queue" here to enter the Normal Ranked PvP queue and wait for finding a match.

 

 <--- The "Minimum Opponent Rating" bar upon adjusting, sets the maximum limit of rating of players. Setting it to 300, you will not encounter players rated less than and upto 300 rating.

 

 <---Click the pokemon you want to lead with from your lineup, that is, the bottom one.

 

 <---The selected one will be marked green as Medicham here after which you just need to click "Ready" to enter the battle.

 

For Random Ranked PvP, you can queue anytime and anywhere. However, here things are different. You will be given a randomised pokemon team ranging with mons level 88, max(Castform is level 100) and level 76 (Mega Rayquaza is level 68) that is for legendaries or mons usually considered too powerful, for example, Rayquaza. Your lead will also be pre-chosen and your opponent's team in the sidebar will not be revealed before they go into their pokemons one by one.

Remember to follow the PvP rules along with the Chat rules whilst in a PvP battle.

 

You can check ORAS Smogon Samples for teams or join the official discord server and check the teambuild archive where many amazing people post their teams. You can check about viable natures and sets for pokemon using the command ^smogon pokename in bot commands channel of the same official discord server, you can also find some info can also be found on Smogon website as well.
