I have all the requirements for accessing trainer valley (beaten red/caught + evolved Pokémon numbers in pokedex) but still get the 'you are not experienced enough' message from Nov at subway station. Am I missing something to get to trainer valley?

hello. need 120 caught data entries of Generation I Pokemon registered in your Pokedex.

i saw you dont have Blastoise dex. Can you check if there are other kanto/G1 Pokedex  you don't have?

did you finish the kanto subway quest?

Yep, all finished. I can travel on it between johto and Kanto just not to the valley. Weird

After checking your Pokedex we found that you're missing two Pokemon for it to be 120 Kanto Pokemon caught. You meet the other requirements, that are, fighting Red at Mt. Silver and having 38+ total evolutions.

You need to catch at least two of the rest of the Kanto Pokemon, mentioned in the spoiler below, to be able to enter Trainers Valley.
