Hello, I had come up to a problem that i wasn't sure about at the time. I had attempted to learn Rock Slide on Tangrowth; I looked around on bulbapedia, checked serebii, looked at gen 4 and gen 6 learn list for Tangrowth, it says all around that it can learn how to use Rock Slide. So after going up to the tutor for Rock Slide I get informed that Tangrowth is unable to learn it. So afterward i tested it out with my sandslash and he got was able to learn it; I mostly wanted to ask and see if anyone else encountered this problem, or if there anything that can be done to fix it. Thank you for your time and I hope you all have a wonderful day of pokemon battles and grinding

That is because it cannot learn from a move tutor. If you have been in johto goldenrod tm rock slide is sold at the super mart, I believer the 4th floor.
