Oh I agree. As a bitter EvE vet my self I have done my fair share of duel-boxing to and know the advantages it brings, which is one of the reason I hope it will not be in this game, or at least allowed.

You say your definition of unfair is different then mine, so try and explain to me how according to you playing with two accounts gives no advantage over those who only uses one. I am quite curious as to how you see it in being fair play :x

But yeah, if anything I think I'd like to see what people think and also see whether or not people who play they game want it to be a thing or not.

The only people who ever support duel-boxing are the ones planning to exploit it, who have computers that support it and the money to justify the multiple accounts (ok, true, the latter is no issue here since its f2p)

Developers usually have no issue with it since it generates more revenue for them, and in general that is all they care about.

well my view of fair is whether people are unable to do it as opposed to those who chose to play on a single account, the reason why I say this is compared it eve online its not free to dual box until you get good at making money. Whereas here it is free to dual box, no hindrances and because you can make 2 accounts with one email I don't see an issue. Obviously the only problem with my definition view is that then people will just make an endless number of accounts by creating more emails but, one thing that I know that balances that out is the fact that it gets to the point it can actually slow progression to a degree past say 3 accounts, reason I say this is because if you have more than 3 you have to play each account individually making it inefficient and therefore doesn't really benefit from dual boxing. Basically I am saying 2-3 accounts would end up being a meta and no one is unable to do that. But if there are people who cannot do this because of say issues like a OS like mac or linux is unable to do it because it gives a very clear and unfair advantage, then I would not like this to be allowed. I guess it is very similar to the argument of should speed running johto be allowed and I think you know which side of the coin I prefer on this topic.

I suppose that's another thing I didn't consider, what computer requirements are needed but considering it PRO, I dont think its very high.

Edit. I just tested it on a low graphics £150 laptop with i3. its about 5 years old, I can dual box with that on PRO without issues.

See to me that is having a warped view because you are forcing others to duel-box in order to compete with your self. Sure they can choose not to because of "effort" but they will still be at a disadvantage compared to those who do.

I do, and not just because of

people will just make an endless number of accounts by creating more emails but

but mostly the extra progress people can make.

152392one thing that I know that balances that out is the fact that it gets to the point it can actually slow progression to a degree past say 3 accounts, reason I say this is because if you have more than 3 you have to play each account individually making it inefficient and therefore doesn't really benefit from dual boxing.

In my opinion you are very wrong on that because often when one duel-boxes one will have the setup to do so, eg; multiple monitors and controllers and even bots to help with movements. And I know that botting is not allowed but ones you start to duel-boxing it is very easily to also put in a bot script. You are still behind both the characters when they are online, except you just control one while the other tags along.

152392basically I am saying 2-3 accounts would end up being a meta and no one is unable to do that. See and that is my biggest problem with duel-boxing you started by asking about a second account being used but now you are already talking about 2-3 accounts and before you know it you have people stretching the limits like with EvE Online.

I could care less about speed running trough Jotho as they do it with their single account and as long as they don't cheat using it I could care less how they play this game.

I just have a really big gripe when people want to use multiple accounts simultaneously on a multiplayer game. It brakes the ballance. Sure you can say only if you choose not to dual-box your self, and that is then your own choice "so shut up". But it is your duel-boxing play style that forces it on others. You either join in with the duel-boxing frenzy or choose to become several steps behind the others.

Ok that's fine and kinda what I want to hear and I am glad you spotted issues with my argument that I wasn't fully aware of (partly because I have not used dual botting on multiple PCs and using multiple set ups/ inputs on the same pc). I was dual botting on one laptop on PRO after discovering how to do it with just a mouse and keyboard and found it generally a bit tedious than using one account, I did not consider using multiple inputs to make simultaneous play much easier and a lot more advantageous. I am glad you did come over to comment here :y:.

Didnt read all of the posts, but you can't exactly say that a duel boxer gets 2x everything (progress in general). Its not like its some thread that works in the background. You have to stop task A (on account one) to do task B (account two). PRO isnt like EVE in the sense that there arent things that take time to do (like starting a task and letting it finish). You have to be actively involved in everything you do in pro. Though i guess it would be possible to battle on one account while hunting or grinding on the other though not being completely focused has cost me ranked battles plenty of times...

Also Zupercooer, with the current server load and constant queues how fair is it that you will be logged in with two accounts while some are waiting to be logged in with their first? I am sorry to say, but this is not a duel-boxing game.

Its actually quite easy to control and move two characters in this game, especially if you add in a script that helps with the movement. And I never said that it exactly always will be 2x, just that it is easier to make progress and get a advantage. Which you can not denie. You can try and cover it up by pretending it to be tricky or that it requires more focus or you may loose stuff but that is all bs and you know it.

Duel-boxing boosts your gaming experience, if it did not people would not always make such a big deal about wanting to do it.

Because lets look at the basics, two accounts equals 2x headbutting, 2x digging and 2x boss farming.

true true. IMO the server load and huge queues is probably the biggest point here. Will not be fair that one person is logged in twice while others are stuck in queue.

Also beyond simple macros or queues using 3rd party scripts is a bannable offense.
