this gym leader is just rolling me i didnt have much of a prob to this point last gym was a little hard but this one is crazy.My starter the fire one gets 2 shoted and itslv 40. 31 rattata all most gets 1 shot cant see to out speed it even useing suckerpunch because it uses it also .

 

So any tips on what pokemon and lv are needed to fight morty would be helpfull and ty for any info

try get houndour, it dark fire type pretty good against ghost type. lvl up until it get 45-60 it should be no problem. remember prepare some revive + healing item(citrus berry, fresh water , or else).

Where should i lv at because seems like the highest wild pokemon are only lvs 13-16 at this point and at most with ms im gettng 300-600some exp .lvng 30+ seems over kill with such low wild pokemon .im tring to lv in the brunt tower i think its called.bu at lv33 its just taking for ever to lv now.

try fishing, fish in route near goldenrod give good exp, like 1K

im almost got wiped there, lucky enough my gastly's hypnosis hit the mark. i also use lot of revive there(around 5)

I personally bought a high level pokemon. You can get a decent one for around 30k. Then you can resell it after.

 

Things get a lot easier after that point though. You can grind to like 80 very easily outside Cianwood.

im just using ratata solo to beat all johto gym, but since he can learn crunch to beat 4th johto gym leader... but i did ev train before i challenge him
