to buy ice/fire/thunder punch you will need a venipede lvl 50+ with rock climb, then go to route 42, fortunately you don't need give shards to learn the ability, just 4,5k (don't know if after x-mas update they fix that, but last weak still was working), if you have any other doubt about tm's look at this post.
