good for the elite 4 aswell?

you can use what you like as long as you get them to level 80s by elite 4

 

but if u want to rush then you only need a gastly(gengar) and magikarp (gyarados) , they can pretty much solo the story. 

 

for story you can use any nature, ability, ivs, evs, it doesnt matter as long as they are high enough level glhf

also try not to waste money buying stuff during story, you can find almost everything u need in the outside world. and also if u lose to trainers u will lose money so u can just log out if u are going to lose to save money
