wanted to know why buffs like dragon dance/curse etc are gone when changing poke?

Because it only impact to the pokemon who use this move, when you change other pokemon - it lose effect then. For keep it to other pokemon change you must use some move as Baton pass https://pokemondb.net/move/baton-pass

when i play showdown and i use dragon dance when i switch poke and bring him back the buff is still available (or am i wrong?)

I am not sure about showdown, but in PRO it lose effect when you change from my knowledge. Different battle system comparing with showdown.
