Jocabaldini
I would like to suggest an item that block xp gain for the pokemon using it. It would help in Trainer Tower, keeping some useful pokemons in the same level and usable for training others pokemons later. Also I think helpful keep some pokemons in a low level. For example, I always use the same hunt team (sync, trace, frisk, false swipe, arena trap and a shiny togepi for lucky :D). The arena trap digglet I like to keep at a low level, so I'm able to hit Abras a couple of times if it's breaking the pokeball. An xp block item would help to keep in a low level when some XP party buff is active (like it's today).
Jocabaldini
Another reason for a xp block item, when you are repeling pokes and need to keep your sync alive. The sync keeps gain xp and leveling up.
Botspam
absolutely agree with this. im not gonna talk about how much i hate this exp system but if there's anything that can make it even a little better then im giving it a +1000 at least this way it would remove the lending nonsense that is "required" to train it in the most efficient way

I know, but that way you need more than one sync to different repel spots.
Cordian
Hunting requires sync pokes depending on what you're currently hunting. Some people end up having more than 1 sync in their teams. Pokemon like Abra are meant to be harder to catch and even have a lower encounter rate. So instead of a false swiper you can have a lower than 100 level trapper and still make it work. There are also moves that prevent the enemy from fleeing so you can utilize those moves as well. Personally i believe that an item that blocks exp won't make any difference since the sync poke can be fainted and still make the sync work. Train until your own EV's reach 252. It's a Pokemon game, we should have different Pokes for different situations. I just think we don't need multiples of the same sync to be able to repel. For example, Gible is repelable in 3 different spots, each one requires a different level, so to be able to repel it in all 3 spots you'll need 3 syncs of each nature you want. And more important, that's is only one of the motives i gave. Imagine you trained a Gyarados for the Heatran quest and some xp buff is turned on (like the one during the summer event), you can lose all your effort if you don't realize it. An item to block xp gain is something easy to do it and i don't think it will harm the game in anyway.
Botspam
honestly i couldn't care less about raising mons for repels, if repel hunting was removed from the game i wouldn't lose my sleep over it what i care about is training my load of mons that i have in my pc and no way i'm going to train a different gyarados everytime i want to train something, it would be beyond stupid having the 3 gyarados and slapping the asked item on them to prevent them from levelling up would be a big help another thing that could be done would be just letting us go to the tower with a lvl100. some would say that it would be broken, that it would be a very big boost to exp gaining, i ask, is that a bad thing? we're paying for fast levelling, why is it a bad thing that we level up fast? for me, either going in with a lvl100 or the item asked by the op would be a great addition, the way exp is now is terrible and i don't want to train anything under this system, and i didn't. i never trained 1 single mon since the exp system has changed and just the thought of doing it makes me want to close the game rather than getting bothered by it.
