I can't register groudon in the pokedex.

Recommended Posts

Hello good morning, a while ago I completed all the regions and now I was filling out the pokedex to capture Jirachi, once I completed everything I noticed that I do not have Groudon registered.

Then I started the search and noticed that I should have registered it while Hoen's story was happening but that happened and it was not registered in such a way that I cannot capture Jirachi due to the lack of that record.

I would like to ask if there is anything that can be done to solve the problem so we can continue moving forward?

Groudon and Kyogre

The last seen data you have to obtain are from Groudon and Kyogre. Beating Team Magma leader Maxie and Team Aqua leader Archie will result in obtaining the seen data of these Pokémon.

To battle against these bosses, it is required to have 6 level 100 Pokémon in your party. Both boss Pokémon are level 120. These battles are also one-time fights. The seen data of the Pokémon should be obtained once you started the battle. To conclude, it does not matter if you win or lose. However, you won't have a chance to get the extra rewards in case you lose. which are a Carvanha from Archie and a Numel from Maxie.

Archie is located at Marine Cave, a part of Cave of Origin located in Sootopolis City and Maxie is located in Terra Cave, also in Cave of Origin.

Additionally, you can also obtain Groudon's seen data from battling Nikola boss in Unknown Place, located in Trainer's Valley.

[...] His only purpose is to give the player the Groudon Pokédex entry, this data is also possible to obtain elsewhere (i.e on Nikola (boss)) and is mainly required as a prerequisite to being able to do the Jirach quest.

If you have battled both of the mentioned bosses above and or Nikola before, and somehow it hasn't registered Groudon's seen data, there is a PC in Prof Oak's Lab in Pallet town that may restore seen data of Legendaries. I had to recently use it to restore one of the trio beast's seen data. Not sure if this will be of any use for you regarding this case. But worth a try, worst case; it won't work for you.

[...] The PC in his lab can be used to restore lost Pokédex data lost of any Legendary Pokémon; this is especially resourceful if you have battled a Legendary Pokémon yet lost its seen-data entry due to a server rollback.
