Potential Move Bug

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'd like to report what I think is a bug regarding a move; specifically the move Hail. In generation 9 it is not available, but that's not what I want to focus on as such. In a wild Pokemon battle the wild Pokemon used hail in turn one, and at the end of the turn it damaged my Pokemon (as seen in screenshot one) but, according to Serebii, Hail in generation 9 should summon Snow not the previous Hail mechanics (as shown in screenshot two). My question therefore is, is this intentional or an oversight?

Regards,

Paul (pthame)

Hello there! @Pthame I apologize for the delayed response. Currently, the game is switching towards Generation 9 mechanics. In Gen 9, Hail is indeed replaced with the new weather effect; Snow. At the moment, Hail still exists in PRO alongside Snow. The ability Snow Warning has been updated, which now sets Snow. Chilly Reception has also been added.

For now at least, Hail will remain in the game and keep its pre-Gen 9 function. This could be changed in a future update.

I hope this clears things up but if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help. Thanks again for your patience and have a great day!
