I have a Pidgeot, Sandslash, Venusaur, Vaporeon, Arcanine and Magnezone.

 

I'm planning to substitute Pidgeot with Gengar.

 

I have all 8 Kanto badges (Still not beating the E4 😞 ), which pokemon could I substitute by other pokemon?

 

Is Arcanine actually good?

dugtrio instead of sandslash will be nice

substitute pigiot with genger and vaperoen with gyrados 

arcanine is good pokemon

I'm in same boat. Got all 8 badges in Kanto but getting smoked by Lances Dragonite. I think your team looks decent and unique. I personally like to try to compete with less-used mon but there's only so much you can do at least to my knowledge. I haven't started EV training yet or focusing on acquiring mon with preferred personalities or suitable IVs but that will be my last step. Rn I'm using Dodrio, Sandslash, Gyarados, Seadra, Snorlax and Raichu. I thought about replacing Seadra, Snorlax, Raichu with Gengar, Venusaur, Pikachu w/ Lightball in the future. Currently I just got the Lightball and hunting for timid Pikachu with 31 speed and Lightning Rod ability. Good luck!!! edit: Just realized this was posted over 6 months ago LOL
