Why don't you guys fix what needs to be fixed? I waited a long time to find a shiny and when I do, it explodes? This isn't the first time this has happened. Long before, I had found a Halloween Bulbasaur, I used "False Sweep" on it to capture it and it "Take Down" and killed itself (then you fixed that and changed "Take Down" to "Tackle"). Now this shiny Weezing that took a long time to come, exploded and ruined everything. Why do you wait for an error to happen to fix it? Why don't you guys on the STAFF make real decisions about errors/unforeseen issues in this game that has already flopped and fix them? That was just a question, thank you.

It's a comical situation lol, this situation of wild pokemons being able to kill each other is really bad, I lost a pink totodile in 2023 due to confusion.... and a few years ago pink smeargle because the server was restarting XD. Now I'll go with "DAMP" when I'm hunting charmander lol

Is it the point of hunting you know ? You check spawn and see what potential pokemon are there over saying "game is flopping" cuz you lose a shiny to a normal move which can happens in original game too but I guess today we blame PRO for normal mechanics.

My brother in Christ, this is not a bug but a feature. Try catching a normal Weezing and it will also use explosion.

 

Let me teach you how it works:

Any wild pokémon will have the last 4 moves it has learned at that level. (Pro tip: look in the pokedex to see at what level the given mon learns its moves)

 

Meaning - a wild Bulbasaur between level 21 and 32 will have the move Take Down. THEREFORE it should NOT be false swiped as it can kill itself.

Another example - a wild Weezing between level 28 and 43 will have Selfdestruct. It learns Explosion again at level 50 and does not learn another 4 moves after that, so it will always have explosion after that. It is up to you to have this knowledge and be prepared. 

So either bring a Pokémon with Damp ability - the function of that is that pokes cant selfdestruct - or simply use a masterball. The masterball would have saved you any trouble in both your unfortunate situations.  

 

Literally nothing about this is broken, needs to be fixed, or is an error. This has nothing to do with forms or shiny Pokémon. Hope this answers your "question".

Going To close this thread as its just boiled down to an arguments insulting each other.  It is unfortunate that a shiny was lost due to it knowing a self KO move.  I expect next time please be more respectful when handing out tips/information regarding hunting @Snoopdogginson @Mysticwind @Jhonvga.   @Ericgv I get your frustrated as anyone would be but theres no need to lash out on others because of it.  You are free to start a new thread.  We have Forum rules, I expect everyone to familiarize themselves with them.
