This means that you would not be able to use abilities like these outside of battle. However, Synchronize ability as you mentioned does have its overworld use here. This means that you have 50% chance of a wild encounter having the same nature as your Synchronize Pokemon. I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions, please let me know. It does answer my question, I just was wondering how do I get through "Get HM-02 Fly Demonstration" since it explains in walkthrough that compound eyes does work... and it makes easier to get the "nocturnal feather", but I have been fighting pidgeottos for 1 week already and nothing. So, new question ¿Is the quest mentioned above updated?... If not why not update it? So the new players as me don't lose their time? When a Pokemon with Frisk is sent into battle, it will reveal if opposing Pokemon is holding an item. I'd just like to double check, are you searching for Pidgeotto on Route 16? This is the only place it is possible to encounter one holding a Nocturnal Feather. Fly is another move that has no overworld use here in PRO. Obtaining the HM is part of the Subway quest, which is a replacement for Fly.
