If I knew about this before I would've chosen pikachu... I'm not even using my starter charmender anymore cause of bad IV's + nature -.-

So... i caught about 20 mankey... and none had the hat :( How many do you need to catch?

I lost against Ash and i still got the hat. (it just took me 54 mankey to get that item...doh...)

 

 

Ok I can confirm this myself. You can lose to Ash in Viridian Forest and still get the hat. I just got it!

I disconnected when I was battling him in Viridian and he disappeared when i reconnected. Can I still get it?
