Hello, my brother(kejan)and I are back in the game. We haven't been able to catch the event pokemon for 4 days. Is there a problem?

Hellon there; I understand that it can be frustrating to not obtain the event form you are looking for, especially with limited time such as seasonal events. But in this case is extremly based on RNG (also known as luck); which means there will be periods where finding your targeted form will take a short time or times where it will be much longer. This is completely intended and its not a bug. The only issue that I can see is if you are hunting in a Map which there is no event form available. For this case, I suggest you to visit Pokemon Forms and see if the Pokemon or Map that you are hunting currently has a form. Hope this has answered your questions and have a lovely day!
