is there an easy way to travel there without have to go through the long journey of travelling to mahogony city and then ice cave?

once you have go through the cave and with some of badge requirement you can directly using a "dig hole" in front of the cave, its really saving your time.

besides you also can use subway, just pay $2.500, but you must finish some of the quest on route 16. for more info you can search subway quest on game guide sub-forums section. :)

Dependent on whether you have been there before, you can move through the Dark Cave via digging. As soon as you've beaten Johto's E4, you can use the the train, if you finished Yorkie's quest.
