Hello,

 

I usually hold down the mouse button to move around and hunt in-game. By chance, I recently alt-tabbed to another application while holding the mouse, and I noticed that the game continued to register the input — even though it wasn’t the active window anymore.

 

I’d like to ask:

 

1. Is this behavior intended or is it a bug?

 

2. Is it allowed to make use of this behavior during gameplay?

 

3. Would using this be considered a rule violation?

 

I'm just asking out of caution to make sure I'm not breaking any rules unintentionally.

This is a rather well known bug and has been reported as one of the oldest open issues on the client. Its a unity engine bug our developers have not found a workaround for and is hence not something that could be handled on our end.

If it happens out of the blue then it is something rather easy to fix by just alt tabbing back and left clicking the mouse.

 

To answer your other two questions, I would like for you to know that abusing bugs or using unauthorized software is against our rules and severely punished.

I appreciate you taking the time for reporting the bug out of concern but it is certainly something we have been aware of for quite sometime now.

If I tape down my mouse to keep moving in one direction, and then press an arrow key in the opposite direction to hunt, would that be considered against the rules?
